FAQ

What should I bring?

Your printed ticket(s) for the Candy Cane Express will be enough. After registration, you will automatically receive a confirmation email that contains your ticket(s). You can print another copy of your ticket(s) at home by logging onto RegistratioNation and having a confirmation email resent. Children are encouraged to bring letters to Santa that will be collected by elves during the ride, and parents are welcome to bring cameras aboard. Other than that, all ‘yule’ need is holiday spirit and imagination!

What time should I arrive?

Passengers are advised to arrive 30 minutes before their departure time.  This will allow plenty of time to grab a few family photos for the relatives at our Candy Cane Express archway and board your assigned train car.

What can I expect?

A holiday memory your family won’t soon forget! Passengers will board the train and get seated while enjoying holiday music and festivities. Soon after the train takes off, elves will appear and collect letters to Santa. As you glide among the winter wonderland inside a toasty, decorated car, Santa will appear and milk and cookies will be given to all the good boys and girls (criers will be given coal…kidding!). Candy Cane Express will return back to the station and the experience will last approximately 50 minutes. All children will be given a Christmas coloring book to remember their experience.

Can I sign up with a group of people?

Yes, you may purchase up to 12 tickets at a time. Any groups larger than 12 must make a registration under another name to purchase any additional tickets. There are no group discounts available.

Can I transfer train cars?

If you have an account via RegistratioNation, you may do this by logging into your account and manually switching over. If you do not have an account, please call our office at 773-687-4595. About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Since opening more than 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives and, for every child treated here, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries. The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall, and is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life. Join that mission by visiting stjude.org or following us on facebook.com/stjude and twitter.com/stjude.
